Dear Partner,

When you ask some people how they are doing, they answer, “Well, under the circumstances…”. Maybe you have felt the same way at times. It looks and feels like everything around us is so overwhelming that all that we can do is do the best that we can with what has happened.

Yet there is a better way. The Word of God tells us in Romans 5:17,

For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

The Passion Translation says,

…we held in the grip of grace and continue reigning as kings in life…

We are now in a position where it is no longer the circumstances dictating the outcome in our life! We are not “under the circumstances”. NO! We rule OVER the circumstances. No longer am I going to put up with sickness and disease deciding how I walk in life…we resist the sickness and disease declaring, “by His stripes we have been healed” (1 Peter 2:24). We don’t allow demons to harass and cause havoc in our lives! We submit to God and resist the devil commanding him to flee (James 4:7). We are not going to allow our bank accounts to decide if we can do something or not. Instead, we get our instructions from God, and then COMMAND our finances to align with the vision of God (Mark 11:24, 2 Corinthians 9:8, Philippians 4:19).

Now the enemy will try to tell you that you have no right to do that because of the way you have sinned and failed God. It is time to get over the sin consciousness and renew our minds to who we are in Christ.

Paul told us to receive the gift of righteousness. A gift is given freely by the Giver without our right to it or having earned it. Remember the Great Exchange in 2 Corinthians 5:21,

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Even though Jesus had never committed any sin, He was made sin (with our sin-1 Peter 2:24). The same way, even though we never committed any righteousness, we were made righteous with His righteousness…the righteousness of God!

According to Romans 10:10 this happened at your salvation,

For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Now we know that there are times when we do sin. But don’t allow the devil to trip you up there. Immediately apply 1 John 1:9,

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If we are cleansed of unrighteousness, what’s left? The RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD.

He also told us to receive abundance of grace. We are encouraged in Hebrews 4:16,

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

It is when we are at our weakest that we need the Grace of God. And it is at that lowest point that God still invites us in to His throne of Grace. We should pull our shoulders back, lift our heads and boldly receive His grace.

Not arrogantly! Neither squirming like someone trying to put on a false sense of humility. But confidently knowing that He has paid for, forgiven and cleansed you of ALL sin!

Now, in that place of right standing with God and recognising that it is by His abundant Grace; we are able to, with complete authority, REIGN in this life.

Say this right now (out loud): “Even though I have sinned, I receive my complete forgiveness. I am made the righteousness of God. I receive His gift of Righteousness. I boldly receive abundance of Grace. I receive His grace to help me. And by His Grace I reign in this life-reigning as a king, in the Name of Jesus”

Now shout a victory praise!

We are praying for you every day.

Remember, Life is a choice…Choose Life!
