Dear Partner,

Janine and I want to keep reminding you how much we love, value and appreciate you and your continued love and support. We are so excited about our future and where the Lord is leading us. And it is awesome to know that we are doing this together. Our prayer remains daily that you would continue to experience the Grace of our Lord Jesus that is on this ministry in greater and greater measures.

Recently I have had a few encounters with people who declare that they are children of God and believe that Jesus is their Lord and Saviour…and yet they have been trapped in a cycle of fear or doubt. The enemy had managed to convince them that their situation is hopeless and that there was no way out of it. As a result, they have resorted to other methods that actually contradict the Word of God.

In meditating with the Lord as to how this could happen, I felt impressed in my heart that it is a result of the individuals that have gradually allowed the lies of the enemy to slowly erode away at their confidence in our Lord and their faith. The more we meditate on something, the greater that thing will grow in our lives…positive or negative! Remember Proverbs 23:7a,

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

Sometimes when people reach a point of desperation, they will try figure something out on their own. They may resort to the advice of others around them or some family or cultural tradition. Solomon warns us in Proverbs 14:12,

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

This happens when we take all the negative thoughts from the enemy and begin to worry that they will happen. Jesus gave us insight into how this happens when He told us in Matthew 6:31 (KJV),

Therefore, take no thought, saying, “What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?”

Here’s the thing…the thoughts will come. Every one of us will be tempted by the enemy. HOWEVER, we do not have to take those thoughts. And we take the thoughts by SAYING.

If a thought is taken by saying, then we can counter the thoughts of lies with the correct and positive words of our God by speaking the Word of God. Instead of taking the negative thoughts we must counter them by speaking words of life, faith, change and transformation.

Whatever situation you may be facing, there is an answer to it in the Word of God. For every sickness or disease there are Words of healing. For every lack, debt or poverty there are Words of provision and supply. No matter what loneliness and depression a person may be experiencing, there are scriptures of joy, upliftment and fulfilment. For every curse, God has given His promise of the Blessing. Paul told us in Galatians 3:13-14,

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Take some time to search out the Word of God. With technology today we can easily search the Bible using a Bible app. Find at least two or three scriptures relating to your deliverance from what you are facing. If you need assistance, please call our partner support team. We are more than happy to help you in compiling a faith confession for your situation.

Then read and confess those scriptures out loud at least three times a day. TAKE the thoughts of salvation by SAYING. Allow the truth of the Word of God to drown out and resist the lies of the enemy. And then begin to praise God as though you already have the victory…because you do!

We love you dearly and still pray for you every day.

You are blessed,
